Who are you?
My name is Nathaniel Yazzie, from the Navajo Nation. I’m very proud of my accomplishments in the game of basketball. They include being a 2x District Champ, 2x Allstar, 3x Defensive Player of the Year and 1x Offensive Player of the Year. My favorite hobbies are riding horses and being around livestock. I find that being on the basketball court brings a sense of peace and that I can only get from there. My favorite movie would have to be Woodlawn. It shows a young gifted high school athlete who commits to the sport he loves and embraces it while dealing with multiple obstacles. He perseveres and keeps his faith first. Some of my favorite things to do are spend time with family and friends, my career, playing my favorite sport while training and coaching youth in my community. I also love to hop online at the end of the day and play video games with friends.
